Holy Crap! Where did 2009 go?

As I write this, it's 6:45pm on NYE. Can you believe it?

Seriously, neither can I.

I honestly cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by...and what a crazy, filled with unexpected events, year this has been. Honest to god. Insanity, I say.

Here's a quick recap of the life and times of Kelly (and other, really cool things that happened that frankly have nothing to do with me), in case anybody was interested:

*Went to NYC in May

*Jack turned the big 2-1

*Mark Buehrle pitched a PERFECT GAME!!

*Michael Jackson died. Craziness.

*Jonah and I broke up. (And as of our last conversation,it's for good. On the bright side, we remain friends, and always will be. Odd, I know. But a good thing.)

* I flew ALONE to Houston to meet my favorite southern gal, Brooke Great times in Houston...so much fun!

*I am officially certified to be a substitute teacher. Yay me!

*I finished my 3rd semester of grad school; straight A's the whole way!

*And my favorite: I QUIT MY JOB!! That's right. My last day in that torturous Hell will be Friday, January 8th. If I can last that long. I'd like to divulge everything that went down, but frankly, I'm just tired of thinking about it. Long story short, it's simply not a place for me anymore. Once the Lord Voldemort took over, and started enacting crazy rules like the need to raise your hand and ask permission to pee...that's when I said adios. I have never met a bigger, more soul-less corporate tool than I have in that pod (he's not a man, by any realms of the imagination). I certainly hope Karma is real, because he deserves every bad bit of it coming to him. Every. Bad. Bit.

So here we are, on the verge of a new year, and frankly, a new me. I enter this year single, with a new haircut, without the negativity of the former job, and a new lease on life.

Normally I would be writing my huge, unrealistic list of things I'm going to accomplish, quit, and promise to do in the new year, but that's not happening this time. I'm too old to waste my time with useless, nonsense like that. The only few I will list are common sense "things" I should have been doing all along.

*Get more sleep. Stop staying up so late screwing around doing God only know's what.

*Eat less. Move more.

*Drink lots of water.

*Chill out.

Yup, that's it. Pretty simple, I know.

So here we are folks, a new, and more prosperous year. Here's to 2010; it's got to be a 10, right?

**Stay tuned for the new blog, and my new mission in life: FHB 30. I'll tell you what that stands for tomorrow.

Until then...

I am happy for you. I know how miserable that place was for you. I'll stay tuned tomorrow for the rest of the news.
