I had to go in for my annual "womanly exam" this morning, and of course, the topic of my weight came up. (I'm sure you were all dying to hear that, eh?) I have to give my doc props though...his approach is very tactful, and he allows me to do most of the talking. He doesn't scold or criticize, and offers very helpful suggestions.
So, we were talking about how the pill isn't as effective in women over 200lbs. Duh. But I digress. So I made him a bet. I told him that when I go in for my exam next year, that I will be down 60lbs. He seemed rather shocked at the number I proposed, and said he'd be happy with 30.
So here it is. December 1st 2009 I will have lost 60lbs.
I told Jonah about the bet, and he said he'd give me $500 if I could lose 40lbs by then. Of course, I have to pay him the $500 if I lose. And we both agreed to pay in installments...as we're completely poor like that! =)
1 day down, 364 to go. Think I can do it?
